How will the future look? It’s never certain. And what has me curious are these four driving forces of technology: porn, war, communication, and consumption. Unfortunately I only have Porn and War. Sadly, I did not get them done. But, here all their description
For porn, I’m try to re-imagine people’s sexual appeal online. Rather than video or images of nude people, I’m going to sexualize Html code. For example, I’m imagining porn websites as strippers in a club taking off their webpages and revealing their source code. My concept for porn is, after people being aroused through the pixel images and video of nudes for so long, people in the future are now aroused by the actual webpages (source code).
For military, I’m completely clear on an idea. As of now, I contemplating on images of soldiers shooting Nyan Cat!’s as projectiles. Conceptualizing how our culture is desensitizing warfare with humor and interfaces such as games and indirect-combat.
For communication, I’m imaging actual images of mouths alone scattered and puking into each other. The puke will be a collection of icons and images of digital tools and interfaces used to commutate via internet. The concept is a representation of people not actually using voices to communicate but digital information: text and recorded and interpreted sound.
For consumption, my imagination is a background of human food: burgers, hotdogs, ribs, soup, pasta, etc. However, once the mouse curser is over any of the food images, that food image will turn into advertisement. The concept is a portrayal of social media pushing advertisements as something people need, or conditioning people’s desire.
